I know the language PASCAL is not popular anymore. I am from 1946 and after FORTRAN and ALGOL the language Pascal was a relief for me. I loved it from the start and used it to make money by making programs for pharmacies and physicians. The language is easy to read and to understand. Until now I did not encounter an algorithmic problem that could not be solved with the FreePascal compiler http://www.freepascal.org/
