Dr. Sònia Casillas is a postdoctoral researcher at the Dept of Genetics and Microbiology of the UAB. She has 13+ years of research experience on the analysis of genetic diversity and she is now characterizing human inversions. She has stayed at the University of Manchester (2006) and the University of Washington (2011), and she has managed the UAB Bioinformatics Platform (2006-2010). She teaches Genomics and Bioinformatics and coordinates the module Core Bioinformatics of the MSc Bioinformatics UAB.
