My background is in molecular/cellular biology with an emphasis on cancer signaling pathways. I have worked in a couple of labs that have handled large data sets, including one that collected data for the ENCODE project. I have always been interested in the computational aspects of these labs, however I was mostly stuck at the bench. Ive started solving solving Rosalind puzzles because I love the challenge. Additionally, I am hoping to strengthen my computational skills and perhaps get a better a grasp on the algorithms typically employed in biology.
