National Center for Biotechnology Information

The National Center for Biotechnology Information, or NCBI, is a branch of the National Instititues of Health (NIH) that houses a collection of databases, including GenBank and PubMed; the former is the world's largest genetic database, whereas the latter stores information about biomedical and bioinformatics publications.
