A string $s$ is a supersequence of another string $t$ if $t$ occurs as a subsequence of $s$. That is, the symbols of $t$ occur in order within $s$ (although not necessarily contiguously, as in the case of a substring). For example, "AACCGGTT" is a supersequence of "ACGT".
