Genomics

Genomics is the study of the whole genome of an organism, including genome sequencing, assembly and the analysis of the genome's structure. Genomics also includes the study of interactions between genes, allelic variations, and genetic mapping (i.e., the localization of particular intervals of DNA on chromosomes).
